Are you PCI-DSS Accredited?
If your business
sells goods and services online to customers who use a Credit or
Debit card then your business, depending on the number of sales
performed online will have to complete the Self Assessment
Questionnaire (SAQ) or use a Qualified Assessor (QA), plus all
merchants and processors must submit a quarterly scan report which
must be completed by a PCI SSC approved ASV, such as Trustwave.
PCI-DSS Level One
If you are just
starting out then we recommend that
you use a secure Payments Gateway. This will require you to have an
online Merchant ID which you can obtain from your Chip and Pin
provider or your Bank. Using a Payments Gateway reduces your risk to
card data loss because you do not take or store credit or
debit card data, they do this for you. We recommend Sagepay,
Worldpay, CardSave or Paypal Standard if you are on a budget.
